Ready Reading Program - Supporting the future of our children - Volunteer Queensland

Queensland Premier, the Hon Annastacia Palaszczuk MP, and Minister for Education, the Hon Grace Grace MP, announced the re-launch of the Queensland Ready Reading Volunteer Program.

Working in partnership with Volunteering Queensland, the Ready Reading program will train up to 3,000 mums, dads, carers and members of the community to share their knowledge and time and foster a love of reading in Queensland primary school classrooms.

Reading is a powerful tool to help children grow their vocabulary, language skills and imagination. It helps children to develop life-long skills that will support their future growth and learning.

As a Ready Reading volunteer, Queenslanders will have the opportunity to make a difference in their local community by supporting children’s reading.
