It's been something we have been playing with for a number of years at St Thomas More College ... prayers available for staff in a variety of ways and contexts. We've tried publishing prayers each week on paper, adding them to Moodle for staff to access, printing and binding our own version each term - which was very time consuming.
The Gen Z prayer book is 95 pages.
The design is very contemporary. It has some simple instructions for how to create prayer spaces; some brief discussion about what prayer is (just simple and direct); traditional prayers that we would be using in Pastoral Care or learning through RE classes; a large section of prayers from our community - students, staff, parents all contributed (we gave these headings so if there is a particular theme or mood the prayer can be easily selected); prayers for the Church seasons; the final section is what we've called "Occasion Prayers" around the themes of: family, health, study, friends and birthdays.
Our plan was to develop something that would have a life of about 5 years. Of course, it can continue to be used for longer than that we were conscious that we couldn't develop something that would be timeless if it had a contemporary look. The cost is probably going to be about $25 a book. For us that's less - over 5 years - than we will pay on photocopying prayers constantly. We are very excited by this project.
I'm happy to talk further with you. Get in contact with John Thomas if you would like more information (College Phone number: 3323 4600)

Politics in Service of Peace - A Statement by the ACBC
18 Apr 2019
Christian faith is not a private matter. It shapes how we live our lives in public,as well as how we relate to God. Politics can be the object of criticism, even scorn, but it is an arena in which we can express our faith and therefore the truth of our humanity. As citizens who are Catholic, we have the opportunity to participate in the electoral process, to use our voice and our vote for the benefit of the whole community.
