Continuing the Conference Conversations

One of the successful outcomes of the Federation’s biennial conference in Townsville was the production of a booklet which summarised the discussions which took place over the weekend. The booklets have been distributed to every P & F association in the state with the current edition of News in Brief. Topics include the strengthening of parent partnerships and communication in Catholic schools, the future of funding, movements towards a national curriculum, early years’ education and quality teaching. These issues have been identified by the conference participants as being of vital importance to the future of Catholic education.

Parents who were unable to attend the conference will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the topics and continue the discussions at the school level.

Your representatives at diocesan and state levels are now aware of those issues which parents believe should be acted upon at the appropriate level of responsibility.
