The Power of Music in Early Childhood - Julie Wright

The power of music as an educational and therapeutic tool is often ignored, or at best underestimated,  according to Julie Wright who conducts  Sing and Grow groups in the ACT for families with 0-3 year olds.

The Future of Year 7

The Education Minister, Rod Welford recently raised the prospect of Year 7 being moved from primary to secondary schooling. ‘There is an argument for Year 7 students to be integrated into high school. It is something we may give consideration to, after consultation with parents around the state,’ the Minister said. Parents are urged to be involved in discussing the advantages and disadvantages of the proposal in their local school communities.
