The Parents and Friends Federation is the statewide parent organisation officially recognised by the Church and Catholic Education authorities for the 291 Catholic schools in Queensland. It represents the parents and carers of over 129,000 children in parish, diocesan and religious institute schools in the state.

The Department of Education and Training are holding Community Forums regarding the

'A Flying Start for Queensland Children' Initiative.

Parents and carers are invited and encouraged to attend these forums.

Forums are being held across the state until 30 June 2010.
