The Parents and Friends Federation is the statewide parent organisation officially recognised by the Church and Catholic Education authorities for the 289 Catholic schools in Queensland. It represents the parents and carers of over 124,000 children in parish, diocesan and religious institute schools in the state.

The federal government has introduced two significant programmes which will directly affect school communities – the Digital Revolution and Trade Training Centres. It is important that parents are involved in the discussion and the decisions that will affect their children’s education and future work decisions. Important Changes to the Administration of the       Non-Government Schools Transport Assistance Scheme

Go to the Qld Catholic Education Commission website and click on the 'Catholic Education' tab, followed by 'Student Travel Assistance'.  Then choose the form at the top of the page.

At the recent Federation conference, Mrs Trish Nash from the Cairns Diocese was elected as the new Chair of the State Committee and was joined by three new committee members, Machus de Ponte from Brisbane, Julie Hintz from Toowoomba and Peter Dall'Alba from Cairns.
